With Jean Kilbourne. Presented by The Media Education Foundation
Jean Kilbourne present the issue of gender representation with a focus on women, looking over the past 20 years. She uses advertising examples which are flawless images of women, and how this can contribute to women self esteem, and also how society views women.
Excellent to use in Unit 1 Media representation, outcome 1 and 2. Also, it could be used for Unit 4 outcome 2 social values.

Nelson media. VCE units 1-4
Jo Flack, 2005 Thomson Learning Australia,
A text designed to cover all areas of the media VCE study guide. Great to use as a starting point and to generate ideas of how to cover the different learning outcomes in the study guide. Particularly good for Unit 4 Outcome 4 social values, outcome 3, as it outlines the different media theories or modals: Bullet or Hyperdermic, Further transmission models (The Laswell model, Shannon weaver model, uses and Gratification approach, catharsis), Reinforcement theory, Dependency theory, Cultivation theory.
